In the six months that “emo-adjacent rock melancholia” Milwaukee band Bug Moment released its stellar second record, The Flying Toad Circus, the group has rocketed to the top of the city’s music scene. Sold-out shows, canceled shows at Culver’s, rescheduled shows at skate parks, and glowing national write-ups have been the norm. But what about videos? Well, Bug Moment’s latest video, a narrative tour de force for Circus tracks “Lagoon” and “Carousel,” is a doozy.
Directed by ever-busy Milwaukee filmmaker Joe Ludwig, the video…you know what? We won’t spoil it. Just watch it. Happy Halloween season, Milwaukee! And long live Bug Moment!
