It’s been a big week for Trixie Mattel. A few days ago, the former RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars champion and current host of The Pit Stop officially became part-owner of This Is It. As if injecting new life and bringing more attention to the city’s oldest (and one of the country’s longest-running) gay bars isn’t enough good will for one week, Mattel decided to pay homage to another Milwaukee icon as well.
This morning, Mattel released a cover of “Blister In The Sun,” the unforgettable hit by the Violent Femmes. In addition to the catchy cover of Milwaukee-born band’s classic track, Mattel also struts her stuff in a just-released music video for the song.
