Those with any awareness of drag—especially on the local level—are sure to know the name Trixie Mattel. The Milwaukee-born drag queen achieved international notoriety as a contestant on season seven of RuPaul‘s Drag Race, where she finished in sixth place. Since the reality show put her on the map last year, she’s kept busy performing throughout the world and, apparently, adding to her television résumé along the way.

Mattel had a cameo on Wednesday night’s season finale of FX’s American Horror Story: Roanoke. Near the conclusion of the episode, she—in all her re-imagined Barbie glory—portrayed a talk show host alongside Edward Hansen. The casting was likely a wink to devoted fans, as Mattel and Hansen co-host #AfterShow, a popular real-life web series in which the pair recapped every American Horror Story: Hotel episode last year.

Mattel isn’t the first person with Milwaukee roots to get screen time on American Horror Story. Actor Jason Waszak briefly appeared on an episode of American Horror Story: Hotel last year. That season also featured someone portraying Jeff Dahmer, which Hollywood is free to stop doing at any point.
