Last September, Riverwest got its own neighborhood renaissance faire in the form of Argren Faire. The daylong event was held at and around Black Husky Brewing, and was based on the mythical land of Argren—a.k.a. the setting of the Spirit Song Saga by Milwaukee authors Ross Hightower and Deb Heim. More than 2,500 people showed up!

And yes, Argren Faire will return in 2025. The second annual blowout is scheduled for Saturday, September 13, from noon until 8 p.m., on Locust Street from Humboldt to Fratney. Expect music, feats of strength, a costume contest, a beard contest, plenty of beer, a live aluminum pour from Milwaukee Makerspace, an author’s alley with 10 local fantasy authors, and more.

Here’s the tentative, subject-to-change schedule. Huzzah!
