Milwaukee Record is working in partnership with Urban Cat Coalition to help find loving homes for area cats. Each week, we—with generous sponsorship from Skilos, A Family Pet Store—plan to highlight a feline friend that’s currently up for adoption by naming it “Milwaukee Record’s Cat Of The Week.” This week: the permanently tiny Princess.
There are four things this kitty loves: bigger cats, a jelly promotional bracelet, a sparkle ball, and her nylon box. Princess—a.k.a. Pipp—loves the older foster boys in the house. She is resident kitty Lock’s shadow, and she begs for lickies from him and The Orangie. They wrestle and groom and play and she’s a great little sister bud. She’s obsessed with rubber promo bracelets. Like those Livestrong bands? OBSESSED.

She carries her “naked” sparkleball all over the house making coos and chirps. All the sparkles are long gone from this thing, but it’s still her bestie. Her purple nylon box is her castle! Every day, we have to reassemble it because she has crashed it into the ground. She jumps in and out of it repeatedly until it collapses.
Princess is a little wonk-eyed and also permanently tiny. She’s a sprite in kitty clothing. She’s a perma-mini. She is nine months old and only four pounds. She is a great companion for another cat and will woo them with her polite but persistent snuggles, tummy biscuits, and head bonks.

Pipp is independent but always around. She isn’t a clinger, but usually underfoot. She stands under her foster mom while she does dishes, and sits on the cushion behind her as she works on puzzles. She’s a “next to you, not on you” kitty—more shadow than Velcro. And if she’s not nearby, she’s basking in the sun of a south-facing window. Adopt this girlie ASAP before her and Lock get too attached! Whose kitty needs a mini buddy? She’s the one!
