Now that we’re fairly deep into October, it’s our duty to inform you that, yes, the holidays are right around the corner. Though shopping for everyone on your list can be a drag, shopping local can help you find unique and thoughtful gifts for friends and loved ones while also supporting area entrepreneurs through an ongoing pandemic and economic crisis.

Thankfully, Milwaukee has a few great holiday-adjacent events that showcase the wares of area artists, crafters, and makers. Joining established events like Hover Craft in the late fall Milwaukee marketplace is Cream City Creatives. Every autumn since 2014 (excluding last year, obviously), the group’s annual Holiday Arts & Crafts Fair has rounded up a diverse cast of Milwaukee makers in one place.

After taking last year off on account of the COVID-19 crisis, Cream City Creatives will return to its familiar confines of Turner Hall Ballroom from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 21 for five hours of localized shopping. Last weekend, the craft fair released its 2021 vendor lineup. This year, close to 50 different vendors will be present, including Beard MKE, Sparrow Collective, Big White Yeti, Bay View Printing Co., Halo Artisan Skin Care, and James Steeno Gallery.

Pedro’s South American Food will also be serving up some tasty treats and Turner Hall’s bar will be open, allowing you to browse with a drink in hand. Save the date for Cream City Creative’s return to Turner Hall and check out the full vendor lineup below.
