When we last checked in with the Wire And Nail boys, the Milwaukee country outfit was paying tribute to Just Art’s Saloon owner Art Guenther with “Too Drunk,” a lively single about a particularly rowdy night at the beloved bar that starts off with a voicemail from Guenther himself. Since that song was released last November, Wire And Nail packed Ope! Brewing with a headlining show, provided musical accompaniment to the Mama Tried-sanctioned “Horny Hawg Hootenanny, and lined up a bunch of tour dates throughout Wisconsin and beyond that will keep the band busy through early June.

In accordance with kicking off its tour tonight, Wire And Nail has decided to treat listeners to yet another single. “Good Love” was released on streaming platforms today. Unlike many of its predecessors in the band’s boisterous and beer-soaked back catalog, the new single shows a decidedly softer and more sensitive side of Wire And Nail. In just under four minutes, the backhanded ballad comments on a relationship gone wrong, assesses the damage that’s been done, and leaves on an optimistic note—at least for one person in the breakup—that good love and better things are on the horizon.

Help send Wire And Nail on the road in style and start your day with a country-tinged earworm by listening to “Good Love” here (or pretty much anywhere you stream music). You can also see the band in the Milwaukee area in March, as they’ll be performing at The Argo on March 12 (acoustic trio show) and at Leff’s Lucky Town in Wauwatosa on March 17.
