Milwaukee is fortunate to have an array of outstanding breweries. This month, two of the city’s best—Third Space Brewing and Central Waters Brewing Co.‘s Milwaukee brewery and taproom—will both be celebrating milestones with anniversary events and special beer releases.
On Saturday, September 12, the Milwaukee location of Amherst, Wisconsin-born Central Waters will cheers to five years of its satellite taproom with a 5th Anniversary Party. From noon to 4 p.m., a segment of 11th Street beside the brewery (located at 1037 W. Juneau Ave.) will be closed down for a multi-faceted happening featuring live DJs spinning records, food vendors (Troublemakers’ Cocina, Roll MKE, and Blondies & Brunettes Bakery), a makers market, and the release of three special anniversary beers (a West Coast triple IPA, an English Style barleywine ale, and a bourbon barrel aged S’mores Stout).
There’s no cost to attend the 5th Anniversary Block Party. People of all ages are welcome, though attendees must be 21 or older to drink. Well-behaved and leashed dogs are also allowed to be outside the brewery. Go here for more information on this weekend’s party at Central Waters.
Two weeks after Central Waters’ anniversary, Third Space Brewing—a Milwaukee original located at 1505 W. St. Paul Ave.—will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a full day of live music, food trucks, beer releases, contests, giveaways, activities for all ages, and a dash of philanthropy.
The aptly-named “Tenth Anniversary!” event will take place inside and outside Third Space’s Menomonee Valley brewery and taproom on Saturday, September 26. From noon to 12 p.m., attendees can enjoy music from the likes of Dead Air Vandals, Litmus Vinyl, Derek Pritzl, and the Steph Lippert Project. MKE Bento, Pina Mexican Eats, and Twisted Plants will be selling food on-site. Beyond its extensive lineup of award-winning beers always on tap, Third Space will be pouring its “Super Happy” Happy Place variant and reviving its beloved “Unite The Clans” Scottish Style Ale for the occasion.
Along the way, there will be stein holding and “Split The Shield” contests, activities for kids, beer giveaway promotions, a 50/50 raffle, and an opportunity to raise funds for Camp Minikani (a YMCA camp where Third Space’s founders first met).
