Michael Viers is an independent filmmaker, writer, and podcaster from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He earned a BFA from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee’s film program, where he directed the award-winning short film From The Darkness Theatre, which screened at the Short Film Corner at Cannes and won awards at multiple festivals. Since then, Michael has directed music videos and two additional films and has hosted the film analysis podcast The Shame List Picture Show for over a decade. He's also been a contributor for RogerEbert.com, Cinepunx, Taste of Cinema, Rupert Pupkin Speaks, and the Physical Media Advocate. Michael likes to brag that he used to edit videos for Troma Entertainment and is texting buddies with Lloyd Kaufman, but no one really cares.
