As we recently walked through the Menomonee Valley (where we harvest our grain), we took a look at the entertainment lineup for mid-October and realized it was very plain. Well, except for “Weird Al” Yankovic’s “Bigger & Weirder” show at Fiserv Forum on Saturday, October 17. So you know what that means…

Yep, we’re bringing back our beloved Weird Al Week to coincide with the Weird Al show! YES YES IT’S ALL TRUE WE JUST DON’T KNOW WHAT’S WRONG WITH US!

Ahem. From Monday October 12 through Sunday, October 18, not only will we be stocking this here website with oodles of Al content, we’ll be stocking the real world with oodles of Al events. An Al-themed spin at Wiggle Room! A screening of UHF at the Avalon! Most of the events, however, will go down at Sugar Maple. The Bay View bar will display original, local, Al-inspired art throughout the week (more info on that soon); create some Al-inspired drinks; and will indulge us as we host Al costume contests, Al trivia, and, yes, a Wheel Of Fish Happy Hour.

Here’s the full events lineup! It’ll be a busy week, but if we finish all of our chores, and you finish thine, then we’re gonna party like it’s 1699.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 13

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 14

• UHF @ Avalon Atmospheric Theater, 7 p.m.

• UHF Afterparty @ Sugar Maple, 9 p.m.
Weird Al costume contest, winner announced at 10 p.m. More to come.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15
