After 14 years, beloved Brady Street coffee shop Brewed Cafe is set to close its doors for good. Brewed’s last day of business will be Sunday, October 3.

“Arriving at the decision to close Brewed has been very emotional,” owner Sheila Pufahl-Bettin tells Milwaukee Record. “We love this place so much, as well as the customers, community and employees. We have had many fun and memorable years at Brewed and have no regrets. The time is right for my sister and I to close this chapter of our lives to allow us to spend more time with family and to tend to other priorities and explore other pursuits. We want to thank everyone who has supported us throughout the past 14 years!”

Limited staff means only coffee and bagels will be available during Brewed’s final days. Stop in, though, and say goodbye. (Also, Sunday is the Brady Street Pet Parade, so there’s that.)
