Vote today, Milwaukee, because only jerks and creeps don’t vote

Hey! Milwaukee! Today, Tuesday, August 14, 2018, is the Wisconsin fall partisan primary. You know what that means: it’s time to carve out 30 minutes from your precious day and vote. Why? Because it’s your civic duty, because change begins at a local level, and because only total jerks and creeps don’t vote. Do it for democracy. Do it for yourself. Do it for the befuddled senior citizens manning the polls.

Anyway, here’s some pertinent info: Polls open at 7 a.m. Your polling place and a sample ballot can be found here. This is a partisan primary, meaning you can only vote for candidates in a single party. If you fill in little circles for both Democratic and Republican candidates, your ballot will be thrown in trash like a bag of moldy tangerines. The top vote getters from each party will face each other in the general election November 6.
