WMSE‘s local and live in-studio showcase, Local/Live, airs Tuesdays 6-7 p.m. You can find past episodes HERE. Beginning in 2023, we’re also collecting episodes on a handy Soundcloud playlist.
SID: Welcome to another edition of WMSE’s Local/Live, broadcasting tonight from Anodyne on Bruce in Walker’s Point! Shout-out to our in-house audience, you guys are all looking good! Give yourselves a hand!
MATT: Local/Live is presented by Third Space Brewing. You have your home, you have your work, but everyone—and I mean everyone—needs a third space. Hello, my name is Matt, and joining me tonight, of course, is Sid. Nice to see you Sid!
I’m especially excited about tonight’s show. Not just because of the band itself, Dramatic Lovers, but because, as advertised, this will be the last Dramatic Lovers show for a little while. I’ve been told the reason for that is because several of the members are headed to prison. It was nothing creepy or weird…was it a Ponzi scheme or something you guys put together? We’ll talk about that at the break. But until then, let’s enjoy the musical stylings of the great Dramatic Lovers!
