The fascinating thing about ghosts is that they don’t exist. Like, they really, really don’t exist. It’s fun to pretend they exist, but c’mon, they don’t. Seriously.

Anyway, Milwaukee’s very own ghostly Shaker’s Cigar Bar, which is said to be one of the five most haunted bars in America (if ghosts existed, which they do not), is set to be featured on a new Netflix series, Dark Tourist. “From a nuclear lake to a haunted forest, journalist David Farrier visits unusual—and often macabre—tourism spots around the world,” reads the description of the show. The eight-part series debuts on the streaming service Friday, July 20.

New Zealand filmmaker Farrier was one of the directors of the 2016 documentary Tickled, which was about endurance tickling competitions. As for Shaker’s, it appears the bar’s Jeffery Dahmer-themed “Cream City Cannibal Tour” (and not necessarily its non-existent ghosts) will be featured on Dark Tourist. Also, we stayed overnight at Shaker’s last October and found an old bar jacket and some condoms.
