Think festival season is nearing its conclusion? Think again! Milwaukee and its surrounding suburbs still have literally dozens of festivals, block parties, and other civic celebrations in store between now and late September. In fact, one of the region’s tastiest undertakings is still more than a month away.

On Saturday, September 9, a stretch of Oakland Avenue will be closed down to serve as the site of the 4th annual Shorewood Feast. The “family-friendly foodie event”—which is put on by the Shorewood Business Improvement District—offers attendees of all ages an abundance of food options and nine hours of fun (noon to 9 p.m.) between the 4200 block and the 4400 block of Oakland Ave.

In terms of entertainment offerings alone, there will be stunts from Division BMX, face painting, a caricature artist, balloon creations, and an Adventure Rock climbing wall. Oh, and there’s also going to be two stages worth of music, featuring performances by an eclectic local lineup. Here’s the lineup and schedule for that!

MAIN STAGE LINEUP

12:00 p.m. — Band of Ringers
1:30 p.m. — Trapper Schoepp
3:30 p.m. — Extra Crispy Brass Band
5:30 p.m. — Rob Knapp & Soul Patrol
7:30 p.m. — Radio Radio

LOCALS STAGE LINEUP

12:00 p.m. — Brio Studios
1:45 p.m. — The Chris Hanson Band
2:45 p.m. — School of Rock
4:00 p.m. — The Flood

Beyond the entertainment options on hand, Shorewood Feast will have more than 20 area artists, makers, and other retail vendors set up and selling their goods. And it wouldn’t be a “Feast” without a bounty of food vendors. In addition to the “Harvest Dinner” served to a limited number of paying diners on the massive 125-seat table set up on the street, people can choose their own eating adventure by picking up food from any of these participating food purveyors.
