PrideFest kicked off Milwaukee’s lakefront festival season last week and weekend at Henry Maier Festival Park. Like we said on Monday, it was glorious. But how many people attended the fest?
On Tuesday, Milwaukee Pride released some numbers. An estimated 41,305 attendees enjoyed PrideFest on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Thanks to some rain and rough weather on Friday, that number is down a little from 2025, when PrideFest set an overall attendance record of 46,168.
However, Milwaukee Pride noted in a press release that “Saturday delivered a record-setting day for the festival, surpassing both 2024 and 2025 single-day attendance figures and helping propel a strong overall weekend turnout.” Nice!

Here are some more notable 2026 PrideFest numbers, via the press release:
• This year’s milestone festival [the 30th at Henry Maier Festival Park] featured six active stages and more than 500 performers, including national headliners Sophie B Hawkins, 76th Street, Jake Wesley Rogers, Brian Justin Crum, and more, local musicians, dancers, drag artists, DJs, street performers, and community entertainers.
• Thursday’s annual Food Drive welcomed more than 600 participants, resulting in the donation of 2.5 pallets of food and essential items to support Vivent Health’s food pantry. In addition, Kroger provided a $2,000 gift to further support food pantry operations and services.
• Milwaukee Pride also invested directly in the broader Pride Month experience throughout the city, contributing more than $12,500 to neighborhood and community initiatives including Light the Hoan, Milwaukee’s Pride Parade, the June 7th Second Street Block Parties, and the Cathedral Square rainbow crosswalk repainting project, helping create greater accessibility and opportunities for participation across Milwaukee.
• The festival’s Health & Wellness Area continued its commitment to accessibility and community support, welcoming more than 60 local grassroots organizations and service providers to the grounds.
• Through discounted participation, complimentary tickets, sponsorship support, and in-kind contributions, Milwaukee Pride invested more than $22,000 to ensure organizations could connect directly with attendees without financial barriers to participation.
“Events like PrideFest are about much more than a weekend of entertainment. They create opportunities for people to feel seen, welcomed, and connected while demonstrating the values that define a strong and vibrant community,” said Wes Shaver, President & CEO of Milwaukee Pride, Inc. “When cities invest in spaces that celebrate diversity and inclusion, they strengthen their reputation as places where people want to live, work, visit, and build their futures. PrideFest continues to showcase Milwaukee as a city that embraces all people and understands that our differences are one of our greatest strengths. PrideFest is a celebration, but it’s also an investment in our city. These events generate economic activity, support local businesses and organizations, attract visitors from across the region, and reinforce Milwaukee’s reputation as a welcoming, inclusive city that values representation, belonging, and community for everyone.”
Dates for PrideFest 2027 will be announced later this year.
