Artemis is ready for her own forever home after bravely raising a litter of kittens. She is a beautiful, resilient cat who is looking for a patient human to help her navigate her new life. Her time outdoors as a protective mother taught her to be cautious. She’s still learning that the world is a safe place. If she feels overwhelmed, she may hide, but her curiosity almost always wins out. Once she feels secure, she’ll begin to explore and spend time near her humans.
She is a cat who values clear communication. If you watch her closely, you’ll learn exactly when she is comfortable and what she needs. With time, we are confident she will continue to grow into a true cuddler who actively seeks out her favorite person. Artemis has an incredibly soft coat that she absolutely loves to have brushed. She will thank you for helping her manage all that fluff! While she is learning to trust, she will reach out for attention, though she is still discovering how to accept it with full confidence.
She’s also a playful girl! She loves wand toys, catnip, coil springs, crinkle balls, and cat pillows. Sometimes she needs a little extra encouragement to come out into the open, but a few favorite toys and a tasty treat are all it takes to get her excited and engaged. Artemis would likely be happiest as an only pet where she doesn’t have to compete for attention or territory.
