The Professional Bowlers Association is no stranger to Southeast Wisconsin. There have been PBA tournaments in and around Milwaukee for decades. There’s a PBA League team called the “Milwaukee Pounders” (formerly known as the “Brew City Ballers”) that’s based in the city. And next summer, that Milwaukee area affiliation will only strengthen when the league hosts a new tournament in the region.

Earlier this month, Professional Bowlers Association announced the launch of the 2023 PBA League Bowler Certification National Championships. The tournament will take place at Bowlero in Wauwatosa on Saturdays and Sundays between June 3 and July 16. According to the PBA, “This tournament will crown winners in six divisions across three different events, as bowlers from all over the world converge at Bowlero Wauwatosa. Bowlers will be competing for an estimated $500,000 total prize fund!”

Beyond getting to watch talented bowlers vying for prize money, you can also take part in the tournament. Priority registration for PBA Members and members of PBA League Bowler Certification is now open (and runs through December 31). Registration for all other bowlers opens January 1. If you think you have what it takes to win some serious cash or, more likely, if you just want to see some top-notch bowlers in your own backyard, get ready for the PBA LBC National Championships in Wauwatosa next year.
