Beer. It’s said to be “what made Milwaukee famous” and it’s still both a major export and a distinct source of local pride for the city, even almost 200 years removed from our humble brewery beginnings. Beer—and more specifically, domestic beer that was and/or currently is brewed in Milwaukee—is also the topic of this week’s “Show Me The Franchise” podcast. And I’m the guest!

The Milwaukee-based show is hosted by local improvisors Fred Dakin and Tom Stadler “covers anything that can be defined as a ‘franchise’—from restaurant chains to movies, TV shows, sports, and much more!” In my previous appearance, I opined about potato chips. This time around, we shifted focus to beverages and tackled the topic of Milwaukee beer.

After spending some time on the state of beer and brewing in general, our trio narrowed our focus to local brewing history, popular Milwaukee beers of past and present, and some of our own favorites in the Brew City-produced “franchise.” You can listen to the episode below (or pretty much anywhere you listen to podcasts). And check out past episodes of “Show Me The Franchise” here.
