It’s been two long, terrifying years since the fine fellas behind Milwaukee’s delightfully warped rock institution Sat. Nite Duets released a new album. 2014’s Los DJs (the follow-up to 2013’s excellent Electric Manland) feels like forever ago, a transmission from a distant time when good was still good, evil was still evil, and the NFL Pro Bowl was not played in Orlando, Florida. So, Sat. Nite Duets: What have those guys been up to?

That’s the very question asked at the top of a video announcing the band’s new album, Air Guitar. The album’s first single, the delightfully titled “St. Yuppie,” was released yesterday via Stereogum, but we have the full album announcement below. Marvel as Sat. Nite Duets apply for jobs, light trees on fire, practice in their basement, and listen to Alanis Morissette.

Air Guitar is due September 16 on Father/Daughter Records. You can stream “St. Yuppie” and pre-order the full album via the group’s Bandcamp now.
