If you missed last night’s Milwaukee Record screening of Bridesmaids at Avalon Theater, we hope you had fun marrying Maya Rudolph or whatever you did instead. To catch you up on some exciting news we announced before last night’s screening, our film pick for next month is set, and it’s a doozy! On Wednesday, December 15, join us and the rest of the suspects for a very special screening of the 1985 mystery-comedy Clue. Tickets are on sale now.

The screen adaptation of the classic murder mystery game is more fun than the board game closet in your parents’ basement, and with far fewer silverfish! Clue’s stacked lineup of 1980s funny people beautifully portrays the standard lineup as they gather together for an invite-only party at a mysterious mansion. Mayhem, dastardly blackmail, and a singing telegram ensue as the ensemble tries to sleuth out the murderer among them.

The brilliant cast features—but is certainly not limited to—Eileen Brennan as Mrs. Peacock, Tim Curry as Wadsworth, Madeline Kahn as Mrs. White, Christopher Lloyd as Professor Plum, Michael McKean as Mr. Green, Martin Mull as Colonel Mustard, and Lesley Ann Warren as Miss Scarlet.

Tickets to the 6:30 p.m. screening are $11. Our generous sponsors are Lakefront Brewery, Educators Credit Union, and Awkward Nerd Events!
