Look, no one needs a lengthy intro to another “Watch this John Oliver clip” article, so we’ll keep this short. On Sunday, Oliver spent the bulk of his Last Week Tonight show screaming into the void that is the shooting of Jacob Blake by Kenosha police, and the (lack of) official condemnation of the alleged murder of two Kenosha protesters (and the injury of a third) by an illegally armed out-of-state white teenager (and Donald Trump and Blue Lives Matter supporter) named Kyle Rittenhouse.

You’d think Kenosha Police Chief Daniel Miskinis would condemn the double homicide, right? Especially when Rittenhouse was seen palling around with law enforcement before the shooting? Nope. According to Miskinis in a press conference held the day after the double homicide, there was a curfew that night, so tough luck.

Oliver also has some thoughts on Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth, who, in addition to not condemning the double homicide either, spent a 2018 press conference saying this:

And here’s Beth at a press conference last week smirking while claiming he hasn’t seen the video of the Jacob Blake shooting:

Oh, and here’s Senator Ron Johnson refusing to condemn the double homicide, too:

And, finally, here’s the John Oliver clip. It’s infuriating.
