Every Wednesday at noon, Ryan Schleicher, Evan Rytlewski, and Matt Wild take to the WMSE airwaves to discuss all things Milwaukee. This half-hour fun-fest is called The Disclaimer, so named because none of the oft-ridiculous views expressed on the show necessarily reflect the views of the hosts’ employers. Milwaukee music, Milwaukee art, Milwaukee events, and D.I.Y. lawn care tips are frequently discussed—and rarely agreed upon. The Disclaimer: Talk radio for the sane.

If you were lucky enough to snag a ticket to our sold-out screening of Wet Hot American Summer at the Avalon this past Tuesday night, you know it was a rousing success. Hell, the Avalon even added a second screening in its smaller theater. So is it time for the return of Milwaukee midnight movies? Ryan, Evan, and Matt discuss local midnight movie screenings of the past (WMSE’s Friday Night Freak Show at The Times), the ones still kicking around today (The Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Oriental), and the ones on the horizon (stay tuned!). Other topics include Ryan Adams’ straight-faced cover of Taylor Swift’s 1989 album, that big beer merger that has everyone frothing at the mouth, Maharaja’s disappearing and suddenly reappearing lunch buffet, and, of course, Haunchyville.
