In 2019, Minneapolis-born Indeed Brewing Company crossed the mighty Mississippi River and put down roots in Milwaukee by opening a pilot brewery/taproom at 530 S. 2nd Street in the heart of Walker’s Point. Since then, they’ve become an integral part of the burgeoning craft beer scene here in Brew City and they’ve given their adopted home some fun parties along the way.

The fun will continue on Saturday, October 5, as Indeed Brewing will celebrate five years in Milwaukee with a day full of tasty beer, live entertainment, food trucks, local vendors, and more. “The Low Down 5” will liven up a block of 2nd Street—between Bruce and Virginia streets—from 2-9 p.m. During that span of time, the street and the brewery itself will be host a wide range of activities. Adventure Rock will have a climbing wall running from 2-7 p.m. and a tie dye station will be on-site from 2-6 p.m. There will be local retail vendors set up outside, and food can be procured from Tots On The Street and The Ladle Lady all day long.

Indeed will have beer available inside and outside, and any beer purchased can get the “Beer Brûlée” treatment by being caramelized with a hot fire poker. The event doubles as the conclusion of the brewery’s Oktoberfest festivities, so The Low Down 5 will be your last chance to partake in Indeed’s seasonal offerings like liter stein pours, jumbo Bavarian pretzels, brats, and hammerschlagen. There will also be one final beer stein holding contest at 7 p.m.

Oh, and did we mention there will be live music? A trio of local acts will perform inside the brewery in the evening. JV Harris will start things off at 5 p.m. before giving way to Cripes at 6 p.m., and Rat Bath at 7 p.m. Once the live music is through, the DJ duo of Frog Legz and Beef Lich will usher in the after party that will take place in Indeed’s “Barrel Room” (situated in a private area at the eastern end of the taproom) until 10:30 p.m.

Congrats to five years in your second home, Indeed! Here’s to many, many more. Let’s party on Saturday, October 5.
