Back in 2019, Boone & Crockett—in partnership with The Cooperage, Taco Moto, and Pedal Tavern—hosted a celebration of music, food, and seasonal attire known as “Flannel Fest.” That iteration brought hundreds of people to the Harbor District bar on a brisk fall day/night to see performances by a stacked cast of Midwest musicians. It was great!

Since then, Boone & Crockett brought Flannel Fest back in a live and in-person capacity in 2022, then went all out with two-stage celebrations the past two autumns. The event will return for another installment in October, and we think you should save the date because we now know the Flannel Fest lineup and it rules.

On Saturday, October 11 between the hours of 2-10 p.m., the parking lot outside of Boone & Crockett and The Cooperage will be alive with autumnal activity. There will be tasty food available from “dozens of your local favorites in truck and table form.” You can browse goods from a wide range of local retail vendors, stop by an on-site petting zoo, and watch the Division BMX Stunt Team doing its thing.

Beverage-wise, Boone & Crockett will be open inside and will be serving its full selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. Outside, a wide selection of local craft beer will be available, along with specialty hot and draft cocktails from Jack Daniels and Herradura. Presenting sponsor Carbliss will have an array of ready-to-drink cocktails on hand, as well. A portion of sales from the beer tent will benefit Courage MKE.

And what would a festival be without music? We won’t have to find out because Boone & Crockett has once again assembled quite the lineup. Over the course of the flannel-focused festivities, you can watch a varied blend of some of the city’s best artists. The event will be headlined by Platinum Boys, who will be playing a reunion show that will also double as the band’s final show ever. Here’s the lineup (listed from headliner to opener):

Platinum Boys
Wave Chapelle + NilexNile and friends
De La Buena
Caley Conway
Decoteau Black
Joe Crockett
Joe Wray
School Of Rock

And since this festival coincides with the Brewers playoff run, organizers were ready for the potential of a Game 5 to fall on October 11. Worry not, fans! They’ll have the game shown on the Jumbotron set up outside the event and on all screens in general. Go Brewers (please)!

The event is family-friendly, dog-friendly, and free to attend. Clear your calendar, save the date, stock up on some flannel, and head to the Harbor District on Saturday, October 11 because Flannel Fest is coming back. RAIN OR SHINE!
