TL;DR: Here’s the map.

Confused about the various health orders that may or may not remain in effect throughout the State of Wisconsin? Join the club!

On May 13, the Wisconsin Supreme Court threw out Gov. Tony Evers’ statewide “Safer At Home” order, leaving it up to individual municipalities to enforce their own health orders (or not). It ended up causing a wave of confusion—at one point, Wisconsin, Milwaukee County, and the City of Milwaukee were all operating under different rules. But remember: We’re all in this together!

Things have calmed down a bit since then, but there’s still a patchwork of local orders to contend with. Enter this handy interactive map from Wisconsin Emergency Management (WEM). It shows what local health orders remain, and links directly to the text of those specific orders. Neat!

“This map is intended for reference only and should not be used for official business,” says WEM. “Some counties and municipalities are currently drafting or rescinding local safer at home orders and this map may not contain the latest information, however all attempts will be made to update it as quickly as new information arrives at Wisconsin Emergency Management. Please contact your local health department for the latest on any orders in your area.”
