Every Wednesday at noon, Ryan Schleicher, Evan Rytlewski, and Matt Wild take to the WMSE airwaves to discuss all things Milwaukee. This half-hour fun-fest is called The Disclaimer, so named because none of the oft-ridiculous views expressed on the show necessarily reflect the views of the hosts’ employers. Milwaukee music, Milwaukee art, Milwaukee events, and D.I.Y. lawn care tips are frequently discussed—and rarely agreed upon. The Disclaimer: Talk radio for the sane.

We live in a world where science—to borrow a phrase from Carl Sagan—acts like a candle in the dark. It’s a world where technology, logic, and reason burn bright amongst the shadows of superstition and fear. Those shadows may occasionally spread (Hello, 2017!), but science and common sense are always there, flickering in the gloom, leading us back to the light.

But hey, that doesn’t mean it isn’t fun to muck around in the dark now and then, especially when it’s filled with (mostly) harmless stuff like UFOs, ghosts, and Bigfoot. Enter the third annual Milwaukee Paranormal Conference, which kicks off Friday, October 13. Ryan, Evan, and Matt chat with the founder of MPC, Tea Krulos, and pick his brain about the dozens of events happening this weekend, his 2015 book that inspired the conference (Monster Hunters), sexy ghosts, whether or not its okay to kill a Bigfoot, and much more. Ryan seems intrigued, Evan gets excited, and Matt snaps to attention at the mention of USA Up All Night.
