Has Doors Open Milwaukee really been around for 15 years? It has! Historic Milwaukee’s citywide open house will celebrate its quindecennial this year, September 27-28. (Yeah, we had to look up “quindecennial.”) More than 160 sites will be open to the public, including favorites like Milwaukee City Hall, the Bradley Symphony Center, and America’s Black Holocaust Museum. There’ll be new locations, too, like the Wisconsin Club, Concordia 27, Food For Health, and more.
Want to peruse the full list of locations? HERE IT IS.
Doors Open is free and non-ticketed, though ticketed tours are available. Historic Milwaukee members can purchase tickets beginning September 3. Tickets are available to the general public beginning September 10. Get those tickets HERE.
New this year is a “Key to the City” scavenger hunt on Saturday, September 13. “Vintage skeleton keys will be hidden in three Milwaukee parks, with keys tied to Doors Open prizes, including tickets to the City Hall Bell Tower tour and exclusive Doors Open merchandise,” explains a press release. What to do in the weeks leading up to Doors Open Milwaukee 2025? Read our past Doors Open adventures, of course! We climbed to the top of City Hall in 2015. In 2016, we checked out the then-new Adventure Rock on Commerce Street. In 2019, we explored the Brewcity Bruisers’ practice facility. And just last year, we rappelled down the side of the 13-story Milwaukee Athletic Club and were deeply traumatized for life. Fun!
