Last weekend, two Bay View bars paid tribute to TV comedies by hosting ambitious pop-ups. At the tail end of the same month in which Sugar Maple temporarily transformed into a Parks And Recreation-themed establishment and The Lost Whale spent Saint Patrick’s Day weekend dressed up as Paddy’s Pub from It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, another neighborhood establishment will also briefly break format to celebrate a beloved series.

From Thursday, March 27 through Sunday, March 30, 1840 Brewing (342 E. Ward St.) will pay homage to the Simpsons by masquerading as “The Springfield Connection.” Over the course of the four-day affair, the Bay View taproom will host the following:

Thursday, March 27 — Simpsons Trivia from 7-9 p.m.
Friday, March 28 — Costume Contest at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, March 29 — Makers Market from 12-5 p.m.
Sunday, March 30 — Chili Cook Off

If you’re looking for a fun way to deal with the “lousy Smarch weather,” make you way to The Springfield Connection next weekend and grab a Duff, er, an 1840 Brewing craft beer or two.
