In case you somehow missed the news, allow us to let you know Sugar Maple is hosting a pop-up devoted to Parks And Recreation this weekend. The ambitious and unconventional “Snakehole Lounge: A ‘Parks And Rec’ Pop-Up” transformation kicked off Thursday afternoon and will run through Sunday, March 16.

During that span, the Bay View business (located at 441 E. Lincoln Ave.) will host: trivia, a costume contest, a vendor fair, and a rotating cast of food trucks. There will be additional programming that includes a “Know Ya Boo?” partner compatibility contest/game, a “Rent A Swag” clothing swap, and a series entitled “Empowering Women/LGBTQIA+, BIPOC,” which are talks given by compassionate people in areas of expertise to provide positive and proactive ways to engage in your community.

Sugar Maple also created some specialty Parks-themed cocktails for the occasion, and will be donating a portion of the proceeds from sales to ACLU, Alliance For The Great Lakes, Equality Now, Doctors Without Borders, Diverse and Resilient, and Planned Parenthood. Check out the drink list and the full schedule of events/food trucks HERE.

Shortly after Sugar Maple opened on Thursday afternoon, we were the first through the doors to take in the sights, sounds, and flavors of “Snakehole Lounge: A ‘Parks And Rec’ Pop-Up.” We snapped a few photos to give you an idea of what to expect, but we made sure to leave some surprises for you as well. Check out these photos and treat yo’ self to some fun at Sugar Maple this weekend.
