There’s no disputing Lambeau Field is one of the most historic, iconic, special, and all-around best places to watch an NFL game. According to a new “study,” the home of the Green Bay Packers would also be among the most ideal locations in the National Football League to ride out a zombie apocalypse.

Yes, “a betting picks, parlays, predictions, and news brand” called FlashPicks recently crunched the entirely hypothetical numbers and determined that Lambeau Field would be the second best pro football stadium when it comes to surviving this completely fictional occurrence. Only State Farm Stadium—where the Arizona Cardinals play—received higher marks for its purported “zombie-proof” capabilities.

How did the online betting site arrive upon this conclusion? Evidently, “they analyzed a range of factors at each NFL stadium to evaluate which ones would best protect against a swarm of zombies.” Factors taken into account included things like location, proximity to a city center, population, proximity to natural water sources, and a variety of stadium-specific attributes (number of entry points, number of sections/tiers, presence of a roof or retractable roof, and ability to grow crops in the field of play). Each factor was taken into account to determine a “survival percentage” out of a scale of 100.

Thanks to Green Bay’s league-smallest population, the stadium being situated near Lake Michigan and the Fox River, the field’s natural grass, and absence of a dome, Lambeau was determined to have a Survival Rate of 65.8%, trailing only the aforementioned State Farm Stadium, which was given a 74.7% Survival Rate. Arrowhead Stadium (home of the Kansas City Chiefs), M&T Bank Stadium (Baltimore Ravens), and Huntington Bank Field (Cleveland Browns) round out the top five.

For what it’s worth, no other NFC North team cracked the top 10 on this sports book’s admittedly “lighthearted” list. The Bears’ home field had a mere 53.5% rate, followed by a 49.2% rate at the Vikings’ U.S. Bank Stadium, and a decidedly un-Lion-like 48.3% rate at Detroit’s Ford Field. So take comfort in knowing that if the impossible happens and the world one day succumbs to a zombie takeover, some parlay betting site has declared the stadium in Titletown to be one of the best NFL-sanctioned venues where you can live out your days in relative safety.
