And we’re off! After rolling into motion in mid-to-late May, Milwaukee’s festival season is now full speed ahead now that June is upon us. In addition to the staggering collection of fests, block parties, and recurring music series happening in and around the city during night hours and on weekends, there are also some ways locals can enjoy free outdoor concerts during their lunch hour in the middle of the week.

Starting this week, Milwaukee Downtown BID #21 will kick off two weekly music happenings that will give folks weekly shows from a wide variety 0f local artists along with some tasty lunch options. Every Wednesday (and one Monday) between June 3 and August 26, Heart(beats) Of The City will be set up at Red Arrow Park. Food trucks begin serving at 11:30 a.m. and concerts will run from 12-1 p.m. Each Thursday between June 4 and August 27, the winning lunchtime mix of food vendors and free concerts will continue Downtown from 12-1 p.m. with the Tunes@Noon music series.
