Despite being one of the most iconic and celebrated beer brands in Milwaukee, Miller High Life isn’t afraid to shake things up from time to time. In recent years, “The Champagne Of Beers” has temporarily changed its labeling to vintage artwork and offered customers the chance to ring in the New Year with limited edition champagne bottles. Next month, the classic beer will change things up yet again when Miller introduces “Hoppin’ Bubbly,” a limited-time collaboration between High Life and Terrapin Beer Co.

The new release is classified as a Brut IPA, with components of High Life and Georgia-based Terrapin (which MillerCoors owns) combined to produce a beer that’s said to have “a dry finish and champagne-like effervescence.” Beyond the inclusion of High Life in all its mildly malty glory, the beer is made with cascade, citra, amarillo, and mosaic hops. The 6.5 percent ABV beer is brewed at Terrapin headquarters in Athens, Georgia.

On May 1, Terrapin’s taproom will be the first place the new brew is available. After that, Hoppin’ Bubbly will make its way to customers throughout Georgia and Wisconsin this summer. Presently, there are no plans to offer the collaborative beer anywhere else in the country. Get more information on this unique pairing of two divergent beers at Terrapin’s website.
