Egg & Flour Pasta Bar to open Wauwatosa location in March Tyler Maas January 21, 2021 Back in early 2019, a new pasta bar concept called Egg & Flour opened its first location in the Crossroads Collective food hall on Milwaukee’s East Side. Less than a year after that, the restaurant—which was founded by restaurateur Wes Shaver and chef Adam Pawlak—opened another location, this time in Bay View last March. Before the end of 2020, an affiliated pizza kiosk called “E & F Pizzeria” was opened next to the Crossroad location. Today, at the tail end of the same month in which Pawlak started to appear as a contestant on the Hell’s Kitchen TV series, we’ve learned that a third Egg & Flour Pasta Bar is in the works. According to a press release, the third location will be located inside Metcalfe’s Market in Wauwatosa (6700 W. State Street). “This latest Egg & Flour location will be similar to the brick and mortar, Bay View location in that there is a dining room and patio for folks who wish to enjoy their pasta as diners. Of course, guests can take orders to-go,” the press release says. “The service counter and transactional part of the experience is much like the other locations, you’ll place your order and receive a pager; once your order is ready, you’ll be alerted. Guests will also be able to enjoy beer, wine, and soda. Most importantly, the dishes will be prepared exactly as the other locations, so expect quick and efficient processes.” Wauwatosa’s Egg & Flour is expected to open in early March. EGG & FLOUR PASTA BAR TO OPEN THIRD LOCATION IN WAUWATOSA AT METCALFE’S MARKET Milwaukee, WI – Monday, January 25, 2021 – Egg & Flour Pasta Bar will be expanding to its third location in the greater Milwaukee area inside Metcalfe’s Market in Wauwatosa. The first Egg & Flour location opened in May of 2019 inside Crossroads Collective on Milwaukee’s East Side and a second location that followed shortly after, in Bay View opened in March 2020, just one week before the COVID-19 stay at home order. The third location is set to open early March. — “We’ve been dreaming of an ideal Tosa location since the moment we decided to expand the concept from Crossroads Collective,” said Adam Pawlak. “Partnering with Kevin and the entire Metcalfe’s Market team has been great, and I can honestly say that our Egg & Flour platform is a perfect fit for the market. We look forward to providing fresh pasta daily for people to prepare at home while offering a full menu of our dishes. I’m thankful and appreciative of this new opportunity and quite frankly, honored that Kevin has such faith in the concept and our abilities.” This latest Egg & Flour location will be similar to the brick and mortar, Bay View location in that there is a dining room and patio for folks who wish to enjoy their pasta as diners. Of course, guests can take orders to-go. He added, “Supporting local producers is something we are passionate about at Metcalfe’s and finding creative ways to work with our local restaurant community certainly supports that effort. Adam’s innovative recipes and fresh pastas are a tasty and convenient addition that we know our shoppers will love.” Due to the versatility of the space, Egg & Flour will have a large array of fresh, made daily pastas and specialty pastas (such as ravioli). The large, open concept pasta making area will be on display for passerby’s to watch pastas being made right on the spot (and on location). This operation will be unlike any other in the Milwaukee and surrounding areas – nowhere else can you get freshly made pasta like this in a grocery or market setting. “We’ve worked very hard at setting (and meeting) high standards of consistency. Consistency makes or breaks you in this business,” said Adam. “Our focus and commitment to bringing those standards to Wauwatosa is our top priority and from day one, we’ll be reinforcing those aspects in our team culture.” For Media Inquiries: Please contact Wes Shaver at [email protected] or call 718-962-5639 or Adam Pawlak at [email protected] or 414-795-6013.
