Roughly three months after departing her longstanding gig at WISN 12, meteorologist Lindsey Slater has officially joined TMJ4 as the fifth member of Storm Team 4. The not-so-secret secret was revealed bright and early Monday morning on TMJ4.

The announcement capped off nearly two weeks of fevered local speculation. First there was a teaser video…

…followed by some online detective work of the “Area Dad Sure Knows A Lot About Local Weather Woman” variety. Like this Reddit thread:

“Lindsey Slater will make her on-air debut today and will be seen regularly alongside Chief Meteorologist Brian Niznansky during TMJ4’s weekday evening newscasts,” reads a TMJ4 release. “Slater will also help Storm Team 4 maintain its strong connection with viewers in Southeast Wisconsin.”

In the same release, Slater herself says: “I’m thrilled to rejoin Milwaukee television and become part of the Storm Team 4 family. Weather affects everyone’s daily life, and I’m passionate about helping people stay safe and informed. The opportunity to work with Brian Niznansky and the entire TMJ4 team, while staying connected to the community through our innovative approach, is unique and something I’m looking forward to.”

Congrats! Here’s former FOX6 meteorologist Vince Condella singing “Soulshine.”
