Summer is almost here! The arrival of the new season is also accompanied by warmer weather, longer days, dozens upon dozens of festivals and block parties, and—at least for the parents among us—the constant need to keep your children occupied at all times. Well, the fine folks at Avalon Theater might be able to help out with that last thing.

Starting Saturday, June 17 and running every weekend through the end of August, the Bay View theater will host afternoon screenings of classic films that can be enjoyed by viewers of all ages during its “Family Film Camp” movie series. This cinematic “camp” kicks off with Space Jam the weekend of June 17-18 and concludes with Babe the weekend of August 26-27. Along the way, families (and anyone else, for that matter!) can enjoy early afternoon showings of iconic flicks like The NeverEnding Story, Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, Pee-Wee‘s Big Adventure, Beethoven, The Muppet Movie, and more.

All tickets are $10 (or $8 for children ages 11 or younger). Here’s the full lineup and screening schedule for Avalon Theater’s “Family Film Camp” movie series.
