Milwaukee Record is working in partnership with Urban Cat Coalition—a local organization that’s dedicated to creating a no kill community by humanely reducing the cat population in the Milwaukee area through targeted trap-neuter-return (TNR)—to help find loving homes for area cats. Each week, we plan to highlight a feline friend that’s currently up for adoption by naming it “Milwaukee Record’s Cat Of The Week.” This week: an outgoing “tabico”-colored gal known as Ivy.
Meet Ivy! This gorgeous girl with rare “tabico” (calico tabby) coloring will follow you around to see what’s happening. She definitely has FOMO! Ivy loves people and always wants to be in the mix.
Ivy came from a colony of 70 cats being cared for by kind folks at a Milwaukee auto shop, so she’s always been around people and other cats. She is loving indoor life and never wants to set foot, er, paw outside again. She loves being pet—her little purr motor starts right up. She’s such a friendly girl!
This little lady gets an A+ for her litter box habits. She also took to toys very quickly. Her favorites are crinkle and bell balls or any objects that she can push around easily with her paws.
She’s so curious. Once she ventured into the art studio in her foster home, where she spent the night there and learned that she likes ’70s soft rock, Tori Amos, and Sufjan Stevens…but not experimental jazz.
Ivy is easy-going, outgoing, and confident once comfortable with new surroundings. She is currently being fostered with another cat named Violet who is soon to be available for adoption.
