Representatives from the Milwaukee Health Department spoke at a special meeting of the Public Safety & Health Committee Thursday morning about how they are preparing for a theoretical coronavirus outbreak in the city. (There are currently no confirmed cases of Coronavirus—or COVID-19—in Milwaukee or Milwaukee County, though there has been one confirmed case in Madison.) In short, the Milwaukee Health Department is on top of this.

Communication and outreach were stressed during the meeting, garnering praise from committee members. Beyond that, MHD shared some general information and helpful tips about preventing the spread of COVID-19. (Commissioner of Health Jeanette Kowalik also shared a vintage “Quarantine” poster from the 1940s, seen above.) Here they are:
