On Saturday, August 27 and Sunday, August 28, the inaugural Milwaukee Fringe Festival will throw its hat into the delightfully crowded Milwaukee summer festival ring. The fest will showcase more than 50 live acts from the local worlds of theater, music, dance, and visual art, and will take place at Pere Marquette Park, Marcus Center’s Wilson Theater at Vogel Hall, the Todd Wehr Theater, and other surrounding venues. Food trucks and a beer garden from Old German Beer Hall will also be on hand, per Milwaukee summer festival rules.

In addition to Fringe Fest’s performing arts schedule, its music lineup is especially notable. Curated by Evan Rytlewski of the Shepherd Express, the lineup includes familiar festival faces like Tigernite, Ruth B8r Ginsburg, and Ugly Brothers, and deeper cuts like Luxi, The Demix, Lady Cannon, and Milo. In addition to the slew of Milwaukee artists, each day will highlight an act from Madison: Oh My Love on Saturday, and Seasaw on Sunday.

All live music during the fest will be held at the Gazebo Music Stage in Pere Marquette Park, and is free.
