Football is back! As the green and gold prepare for another season on the field, fans are beginning to formulate their game day viewing plans. It’s no secret that Milwaukee has no shortage of great places to back the Pack, but we wanted to offer folks another interesting and entertaining option this year.

At the midway point of every game this regular season, we’ll host a musical act for the Milwaukee Record Halftime Show. The free concert series—sponsored by Good City Brewing and Belvedere Vodka—will consist of 14 shows at Cactus Club and two “away games” at Garage (signified with an asterisk). On top of the approximately 20-minute performances, there will be game-long specials on Good City draft beer and Belvedere Bloody Marys. DJs (either band members or hand-selected parties) will provide the pre-game, post-game, and commercial break soundtrack.

The eclectic lineup features a week one show by Midwest Death Rattle, a VoodooHoney Horns showcase against New Orleans, Direct Hit! breaking up a game against a division rival, Rio Turbo playing a Thursday night preview before opening for The Dirty Nil, and a begrudging visit from Chicago punk band/squash enthusiasts The Eradicator. Really, we’ve tried hard to find something for everyone this season. We hope you can join us. If not, enjoy listening to Terry Bradshaw or Boomer Esiason talk about establishing the run or some shit.
