Believe it or not, Milwaukee’s Brewcity Bruisers celebrated their 10th anniversary in 2016. That’s a full decade of fast-paced, high-octane, and, well, bruising women’s flat track roller derby action. And though the Bruisers have popped up in everything from TV commercials to video games, they have yet to star in their very own documentary. Until now: Roller Life, a feature-length doc on the Brewcity Bruisers, from Appleton-based Hungry Lion Productions, will make its premiere Wednesday, October 19 at the Oriental Theatre. “Roller Life” Documentary Premieres in Milwaukee October 19, Tickets On Sale Now

(Milwaukee, WI) – Milwaukee’s Brewcity Bruisers (BCB) Roller Derby League’s 2016 season is the subject of the new feature length documentary, “Roller Life.” The film premiere of “Roller Life” is October 19th, 2016 at Milwaukee’s historic Oriental Theatre at 7:00 pm. “This documentary is an opportunity to get a unique look at the dedication of Milwaukee’s female roller derby players on and off the track,” said Roller Life Executive Producer Michael Brown. “Roller derby is the fastest growing sport in the world, and it’s dominated by women. This film gives fans an opportunity to understand why it’s so popular and how the athletes balance the sport, a career, and personal lives to live the Roller Life.”

“Roller Life” explains the sport of flat track roller derby through the eyes of local athletes, and how the league formed and became an international force to be reckoned with.
