Every Wednesday at noon, WMSE’s Ryan Schleicher, Shepherd Express’ Evan Rytlewski, and Milwaukee Record’s Matt Wild take to the WMSE airwaves to discuss all things Milwaukee. This half-hour fun-fest is called The Disclaimer, so named because none of the oft-ridiculous views expressed on the show necessarily reflect the views of the hosts’ employers. Milwaukee music, Milwaukee art, Milwaukee events, and D.I.Y. lawn care tips are frequently discussed—and rarely agreed upon. The Disclaimer: talk radio for the sane.

Milwaukee’s Nomad World Pub is in some hot water over its planned World Cup celebration, which will recreate a Brazilian “favela”—a.k.a. “slum”—on Brady Street. Ryan, Evan, and Matt dig into this culturally tone-deaf plan, and shake their heads at Nomad’s equally tone-deaf response. Next, a recent OnMilwaukee story on comments and click-bait leads into another OnMilwaukee story where writer Dave Begel gets all hot and bothered about short skirts on television. Finally, Evan agrees with parents who are opposing changing a Waukesha middle school’s name to honor native Les Paul, because there’s already enough stuff in Waukesha named after Les Paul as it is.
