Bay View is getting another vintage shop. After roughly a year of planning and more than six months after its original projected opening date, Plume will finally open on Saturday, January 13.

Plume is located at 3001A S. Kinnickinnic Ave., on the Rusk Avenue side of Pastiche’s former site. The venture is spearheaded by Shelia Teruty and Maggie Solveson. Both owners have wardrobe styling backgrounds and each ran online vintage shops for about 10 years before starting Plume. The pair also used to organize Femme Adorn vintage fashion shows. “We started doing vintage pop-ups together, which then evolved into finally opening a shop,” Teruty says.

Plume will specialize in both women’s and men’s vintage clothing, as well as lingerie, shoes, accessories, jewelry, home decor, along with bath and beauty items. There will be some locally made items from area artists and designers on hand.

Saturday’s hours will be 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. After opening day, Plume will immediately begin its regular hours: Sunday from 12-5 p.m., 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Wednesday to Friday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays. Find Plume on Facebook, Instagram, and Etsy for more information and to browse some of its selection.
