Inaugural Black Cat Alley Sound SYSTEM DJ Series: Presented by Crossroads Collective, System Seltzers and Club Ritual
Milwaukee, WI – Building on the success of its annual Summer Soulstice event, and this year’s Black Cat Rising concert series, the East Side Business Improvement District (BID #20) is excited to host Black Cat Alley’s newest event: the Sound SYSTEM DJ Series.
This free event will take place between 5pm – 11pm on August 26th, September 30th, October 28th, and November 25th, in Black Cat Alley. Located between Ivanhoe Plaza and Kenilworth Place, Black Cat Alley is an open-air art gallery known for large mural installations created by local and international artists.
Club Ritual, a grassroots initiative dedicated to advancing underground dance music in the Midwest, will curate a lineup of DJs that fosters a fun and inclusive atmosphere for all-ages, with a focus on initiating discovery and connection in one of Milwaukee’s most unique venues.
“After experiencing last year’s Summer Soulstice event, Asher Grey of Club Ritual and I began brainstorming ways that we could build on the energy of Summer Soulstice more regularly,” says Matt Sievers, Co-Founder of SYSTEM Seltzers, “The opportunity to create a monthly installment with the East Side BID was the next logical step to continuing to push the Milwaukee experience and music culture forward.”
Alongside music and dancing, attendees will find refreshments from the Crossroads Collective outdoor bar featuring an array of beverages including SYSTEM Seltzer, Red Bull, Jägermeister, Teramana, Pabst Blue Ribbon, and Absolut Vodka as well as non-alcoholic beverages and light snacks.
