Back in March, Wisconsin ska-punk stalwarts Something To Do released an inventive music video for “No I Don’t Want To See Your Tattoo,” which found the band asking fans and friends within the music scene to send them footage of their personal ink. As it turns out, around the same time they were seeking tattoos from folks to use for the third video in support of last year’s Here Comes The Panic, they were also putting together a different music video with a decidedly predictive premise.

Today, Something To Do released the video for “Don’t Be Honest,” another standout Panic single. Once again, the band sought the help of pals and other musicians in their orbit to bring the concept to life. The video was the brainchild of the band’s guitarist Chris Holoyda, who filmed folks partaking in activities aimed at learning one’s future—consulting a Magic 8 Ball, wishing on a monkey’s paw, visiting a fortune teller, and so forth—and quickly regretting their decisions to peer into the unknown.

Between Holoyda’s soothsaying shots with quick cuts that match the song’s frantic tempo, crowdsourced footage of the band performing live help to break up the video’s overarching “be careful what you wish for” theme. Should you watch the brand new video for “Don’t Be Honest” ahead of Something To Do’s appearance at Bastille Days on Saturday, July 19? Signs point to yes. Check it out below.
