Even though we’re spending today attempting to at least somewhat fill the festival-sized hole in Milwaukee’s heart with Milwaukee Record’s Virtual Summer Festival, we’re not going to try to pretend things are normal. The city—as well as the rest of the state, country, and world, for that matter—is still dealing with a deadly pandemic that (even if people are trying to pretend otherwise) is still happening, and is sure impact events and large-scale group gatherings for years to come.

We also want to acknowledge that the country is in the middle of an important and long-overdue movement for justice and racial equality. So while we spend today (hopefully) spreading a little joy with our Virtual Festival, we ask that you remain committed to positive change. One way you can help make positive social change possible is by donating to worthy causes.

If you can spare any funds, we ask that you make a donation to any (or all) these local organizations who are working hard to make the city and the world a better place.
