Every Wednesday at noon, Ryan Schleicher, Evan Rytlewski, and Matt Wild take to the WMSE airwaves to discuss all things Milwaukee. This half-hour fun-fest is called The Disclaimer, so named because none of the oft-ridiculous views expressed on the show necessarily reflect the views of the hosts’ employers. Milwaukee music, Milwaukee art, Milwaukee events, and D.I.Y. lawn care tips are frequently discussed—and rarely agreed upon. The Disclaimer: Talk radio for the sane.

If you were to make a list of recent Milwaukee media must-reads, James Causey’s “What Happened To Us?” would have to be on top. Using his own 3rd grade class at Samuel Clemens Elementary School in 1978 as a jumping-off point, the longtime Milwaukee Journal Sentinel columnist explores how the city’s African-American population has been affected by issues like declining home ownership, job loss, and incarceration over the last four decades. Ryan, Evan, and Matt welcome Causey to the show to discuss his remarkable piece, which, again, is a must-read.
