WMSE‘s local and live in-studio showcase, Local/Live, airs Tuesdays 6-7 p.m. You can find past episodes HERE. Beginning in 2023, we’re also collecting episodes on a handy Soundcloud playlist.

SID: Hello everyone, and welcome to another edition of Local/Live, broadcasting tonight from WMSE’s vinyl library! I’m here with Matt Wild from Milwaukee Record. How are you Matt?

MATT: I am doing well, Sid, thank you for having me back in the studio! How is your summer going?

SID: I don’t feel like I’m taking advantage of it as much as I’d like. I haven’t even been to State Fair yet.

MATT: I’ve been to State Fair twice and it has been a delight both times. So, we are currently in the dog days of summer. Would you describe this as the dog days of summer?

SID: I would call it the dog days of summer.

MATT: It’s that kind of lazy, hazy vibe. It’s getting a little late in the season, so we’re all kind of slowing down. However! Tonight’s guests, Honey Creek—the great Honey Creek!—are going to shake us out of that lazy, hazy, dog-days-of-summer vibe tonight on Local/Live, which, as always, is presented by Third Space Brewing.

I’m very excited to talk to Honey Creek tonight, and very excited to listen to Honey Creek tonight. They have a fantastic new EP that is fresh out of the oven. Speaking of fresh, they are fresh off the road, and by fresh I mean they just rolled in mere minutes ago from parts unknown. So we’re going to talk to them about that, we’re going to talk to them about their new EP. If you are in a car, roll down your windows and crank up the volume. If you’re not in a car…just get in a car and enjoy tonight’s guest on Local/Live. Here they are, Honey Creek!
