The past 15-plus months have been incredibly difficult for restaurant owners. Thankfully, things are starting to improve as the country continues turning the corner on the COVID-19 crisis. And things are about to get a lot better for restaurateurs here in Milwaukee because two of the world’s best professional eaters are moving to town. Between now and the end of July, accomplished eaters and YouTube personalities Randy Santel and Katina Eats Kilos will be settling into their new home in Milwaukee.

If you’re unfamiliar with this professional eating power couple, Santel holds the world record for most eating competition wins, chowing down to victory in more than 1,000 contests. His YouTube channel has over 1.3 MILLION subscribers and features hundreds of videos of him competing in eating competitions all across the U.S., as well as stops in Canada and Mexico, and restaurants throughout Europe, Asia, and Australia. He also founded and owns the website FoodChallenges.com.

Katina Eats Kilos is a body builder, who fully realized her gift for high-volume consumption in 2019. Though she’s newer to the scene, she has quickly made a name for herself in the world of professional eating and has close to 300,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel.

Katina and Randy met and started dating in 2020. Since then, they’ve competed together in eating competitions all over the country. According to Santel’s website, he (an aspiring dietician) will be doing a 1,200-hour dietetic internship and master’s program at Mount Mary University in Milwaukee. Though he’s preparing to make the transition from professional eater to “social media dietician” at some point, it appears neither of these pros have any intentions of stepping away from eating competitions any time soon.

We’re excited to see some of the local haunts they hit up once they get settled in Milwaukee. It looks like Santel is already familiar with Jake’s Deli.
