Just a friendly reminder, folks: As previously announced, the Milwaukee Public Museum will officially close on January 3, 2027. That’s exactly one year from today.
“We’re thrilled to remain open for all of 2026, giving you another full year to make memories in the current building!” MPM said in November. “This will be the Museum’s final full year in this location before moving to its new home, the Nature & Culture Museum of Wisconsin.”
An official opening date for the Nature & Culture Museum of Wisconsin—er, the N&CMoW—has yet to be announced.
Eagle-eye MPM visitors may have noticed the many “Meet me at the new Museum” signs throughout the facility, noting which items will be making the BIG move to the new museum. We’ll have more on that soon.
